I have finally pluckt (is this even a word?)up the courage to take my new 'shop range' chocolates to a few local farm shops and deli's...I had to give myself a proper 'peptalk' to get in the mood - I am worth it, I can do it...you get the picture.

Well, it is true what they say: it does get easier after the first one. I made my first shop sale! £31.20 here I come! Here are a few of them:

Wedding fayre

Well, the wedding fayre has come and gone and all in all it was a good day. It is always a bit intimidating to 'bear your soul', so to speak and to let people critisize and judge what you spend ages producing. If I didn't enjoy making and designing the wrappers, I probably would have given up a looooong time ago.
Anyhow...here are a few pics.

Gosh, I really need to remind myself that I have a BLOG that needs to be updated! SO NOT used to this blogging thing. I have been working really hard in developing a chocolate wrapper range of designs that is not personalised by a persons name but more personalised with a nice graphic and some chocolate humour. I think it will be a winner and the plan is to go to gift shops directly and see if they will stock it?? Have also done more Towel Cakes..will uploads some pics soon.

Ah! Finally got my act together and took a pic of my very first 'Towel & Choc' Cake!

Let me know what you think...the idea is to make a few examples of these to display at the wedding fayre - I think they are great for bridal showers, engagement parties etc - makes the usual 'towel gift' a bit more glamorous, I think! Otherwise preparations are well on their way for the rest of my goodies. Just need to figure out the best and cheapest way to post the 'towel cakes'!

Very proud of myself...finished the 'towel cake' demo and examples of personalised wedding chocolate favours for my wedding fayre. Just need to take some nice pics tomorrow so that I can put them on my website.
Feeling a bit low today...the lack of sunshine is really getting to me. After 7 years in the UK, I thought that I would be used to the 'fantastic***' UK weather...right about now, in South Africa, they are lighting the barbeque fires...in 27deg!

Spend some time clearing out the study yesterday in order for me to start making lots of exciting new wrappers for the wedding fayre. Gosh, is it possible to accumilate so much 'stuff' in such a short amount of time?? Also just finished making the 36 Hen Night chocolate bars for a customer - off to post them now...and to take the girls for a well deserved runaround at the farm - being very patient with mommy...

Have I mentioned I am doing a wedding fayre at Lavenderhouse, just outside of Ashburton at the end of march? Well, very excited about that... Just been shopping for some exciting craft goodies to experiment with. I have loads of new ideas for my personalised wedding chocolate bars and favour boxes..mmmm.. now just to find the time to do it all!

Today is the first day of the rest of my life...

Well...finally took the BIG step and created a blog for myself and my business!
Feeling apprehensive but excited at the same time - am I not too old for this?
Today is 7 years since I walked in at PRP Architects, Thames Ditton - wow, where has the time gone. Also 7 years last week since me and hubby arrived in a cold London from a sunny South Africa with just 2 backpacks...
7 Years on, 2 children, 5,5 years working as an architect and 1,5 years unemployed during the UK recession. Cant complain really, the last year and a half gave me the opportunity to be with my children and start a creative on-line business doing personalised gifts, mostly wedding, but really anyting I can get my hands on!(Hence the start of Wrap-A-licious!)
I think I can get into this blogging thing, can't stop typing!
